Convened by the President of the UN General Assembly during its 80th session, this high-level meeting will focus on addressing noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) and promoting mental health and well-being. NCDs—such as cardiovascular diseases, cancers, chronic respiratory diseases, and diabetes—along with mental health conditions, continue to place a heavy burden on individuals and health systems globally. The meeting aims to generate political momentum, share knowledge, and mobilize partnerships for integrated and equitable approaches.
“Equity and integration: transforming lives and livelihoods through leadership and action on noncommunicable diseases and the promotion of mental health and well-being.”
The theme highlights the urgent need for inclusive, multisectoral solutions to improve both physical and mental health outcomes and reduce disparities across populations.
