From green schools and youth climate leadership to community conservation and international climate engagement, Universal Versatile Society empowers people to understand environmental challenges and take meaningful action for a sustainable future.

GREEN SCHOOLS & CAMPUSES
Educating for a Greener Tomorrow
Through its Green School & Campus Programme, UVS engages students, teachers and educational institutions in environmental learning and practical action. Working with schools and colleges in Washim, the programme encourages young people to understand environmental challenges, develop responsible habits and participate in creating greener communities.
Our environmental learning activities focus on five interconnected areas:
Water Conservation

Waste Management

Biodiversity Protection

Energy Efficiency

Air Quality

Crafting Eco-Friendly Ganesh Idols
Through UVS's Green School & Campus Programme, thousands of students have been encouraged to celebrate Ganesh festivities in an environmentally responsible way. With permission from the District Education Officer and participation from schools and colleges, students learned to create biodegradable Ganesh idols using natural clay.
Conventional festival idols can contain non-biodegradable or potentially harmful materials that pollute waterways during immersion. By making clay idols for worship at home, students and families discover how cultural traditions can be celebrated while reducing environmental harm.

YOUTH CLIMATE LEADERSHIP
Empowering Youth for Climate Action
In collaboration with CliMates, France, UVS has facilitated World Climate Simulations for university students, providing opportunities to explore international climate negotiations, understand competing priorities and experience the challenges of collective climate decision-making.
Through youth mobilisation and Green Campus initiatives, UVS has encouraged young people to translate environmental awareness into meaningful action within their educational institutions and communities.
